Birthplace: Pietermaritzburg, Republic of South Africa
I moved to England aged 10 and started playing in 2005 at Rodway Hill golf club; from 2007 I won seven consecutive club championships. Breaking into the Gloucestershire Golf Union county side during 2009. My last year as a junior was a successful one finishing three times in the top six of National boys events. And winning two events within my county. I completed my A levels that summer.
Between September 2010 and April 2012 I completed a foundation degree in tournament golf. The course taught me a great deal about organisation, professionalism and the golf industry. I was lucky enough during this period to spend January to March winter training in Portugal as part of the degree, where playing in seven professional tournaments greatly improved my golf and experience level. Of which the highlight was winning my first professional event.
I took what I had learned back to the UK and played a full season during 2012. Playing events within the UK and a few trips abroad to Spain and Qatar for their national championships. During the winter I played five events on the MENA Tour. This was a six week trip to the UAE; the highlight of the trip was finishing third at the Abu Dhabi Golf Citizen Open.
In 2013 I played my last season as an amateur with successes such as a top 32 finish at the British amateur and reducing my handicap to +3.
I began playing professionally on the MENA tour in late 2013. I came 15th on the order of merit, recording 4 top ten finishes.
2014 was a year of travel; playing golf in the UK, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. I enjoyed the new experiences and my golf improved. A win on the Jamega tour and on the Algarve pro tour were the highlights. By finishing 10th on the MENA tours order of merit, I got my first opportunity to play on the top tier on the Asian tour's Dubai Open. I made the cut and played four steady rounds; which was a good learning experience.
In 2015 I continued to compete on the Mena tour finishing 10th again on the order of merit, this included two consecutive 2nd place finishes coming up just short in the tour championships. A third professional win at Mentmore GC on the Jamega tour was the highlight and lots of good play lead to 17 top ten’s throughout the year.
In 2016 I have continued to play well with 5 top ten’s and 2 further wins on the Jamega tour and Algarve pro tour. In September I hope to play in European Tour qualifying School.
